Central malfunction indicator «STOP»
Associated with signaling devices: engine oil pressure drop, oil temperature, coolant and brake fluid levels drop, malfunction of the wheel brake torque distribution system, coolant temperature gauge and door open indicator in the form of a pictogram on the display.
Lights up every time the ignition is turned on.
If the indicator flashes while the engine is running, stop and contact a service station.
Engine oil pressure drop indicator
Linked to central fault indicator «STOP». When this warning lamp comes on when the engine is running, it is accompanied by a buzzer and the message «Insufficient oil pressure in the engine» or «Add oil to the engine» on the information display. Stop and add oil to the norm or contact a service station.
Coolant level warning device
Linked to central fault indicator «STOP».
Illuminates for three seconds each time the ignition is turned on.
Illumination of this warning light is accompanied by a buzzer and the message «Adding coolant» on the information display. When you turn on the signaling device, stop and contact the service station.
Attention. Allow the engine to cool before adding coolant. Remember that there is excess pressure in the cooling system that must be bled off. Open the expansion tank cap slowly and carefully, for greater safety, cover it with a thick cloth.
Signaling device of inclusion of a parking brake and falling of level of a brake liquid
Linked to central fault indicator «STOP».
Lights up every time the ignition is turned on. Illumination of this warning lamp is accompanied by a buzzer and a message on the information display about the cause of the fault signal:
- «Parking brake not released» (with the parking brake applied or not fully released);
- «Brake fluid level insufficient» (when the level of brake fluid in the reservoir drops below the permissible limit, the signaling device remains on even after the parking brake is completely turned off);
- «Faulty braking system» (lighting up simultaneously with the ABS indicator, it indicates a malfunction of the brake system and a failure of the brake torque distribution system of the wheels).
When you turn on the signaling device, stop and contact the service station.
Battery discharge indicator
Lights up every time the ignition is turned on.
The appearance of this warning lamp with the engine running is accompanied by an audible buzzer and a message on the display «No battery power».
Possible causes include: a failed alternator, a broken drive belt, or a faulty battery. Contact the service station.
Anti-lock brake system malfunction indicator (ABS)
The warning light comes on for three seconds each time the ignition is turned on. If the signaling device does not go out or continues to burn at a speed of movement above 12 km / h, then this indicates a violation of the ABS. At the same time, the possibility of braking the car in normal mode using the brake booster is fully preserved. Illumination of this warning light is accompanied by a buzzer and the message «Faulty ABS system» on the information display.
Stop the car and turn off the engine.
Start the engine again. If the warning symbol remains on, contact a workshop.
The brake symbol will illuminate if the brake fluid level is low.
Stop the car and check the brake fluid level in the reservoir. If the level is below the mark «MIN», further driving is not safe, contact a service station.
Signaling device of the dynamic stabilization system (ESP/ASR)
The warning light comes on for three seconds each time the ignition is turned on. If the warning light stays on or comes on while the engine is running, or if the buzzer sounds and the message appears while the vehicle is moving «ESP / ASR system is faulty», contact the service station. This warning light flashes when the system is turned on and stays on when the system is turned off.
Lights up every time the ignition is turned on.
Faulty converter signaling device
The diesel particulate filter warning light is connected to the automatic on-board engine diagnostics warning light. Illumination of the signaling device with the engine running, accompanied by a buzzer and a message on the display:
- «Faulty exhaust gas cleaning system» indicates a malfunction of the toxicity reduction system;
- «Diesel additive level dropped to a minimum» or «Increased risk of clogged particulate filter» indicates a malfunctioning particulate filter.
Its flashing when the engine is running, accompanied by a buzzer and a message «Faulty catalytic converter» on the information display indicates a malfunction of the fuel injection or ignition system. This can damage the catalytic converter (only applies to vehicles with a petrol engine).
It is permissible to drive a car with this malfunction, but it is recommended to contact a service station as soon as possible to eliminate it.
Diesel engine glow plug indicator
Lights up every time the ignition is turned on.
Before turning on the starter, you must wait for it to turn off.
Diesel fuel filter water ingress indicator
Illumination of this warning light is accompanied by a buzzer and the message «Water in the fuel filter» on the information display.
In the event of this malfunction, the fuel injection system may fail.
Contact the service station as soon as possible.
Front Passenger Airbag Disabled Warning Light
Illumination of this warning light is accompanied by a buzzer and the message «Passenger airbag disabled» on the information display. If the front passenger airbag is disabled, the warning light will come on when the ignition is turned on and stay on all the time. In all cases, if the indicator flashes, contact the service station.
Airbag warning device
The signaling device burns within several seconds after inclusion of ignition, then dies away.
When this warning lamp comes on when the engine is running, it is accompanied by a buzzer and the message «Airbag defective» on the information display, indicating a malfunction of the front or side or window airbags. Contact the service station.
Seat belt indicator
The indicator lights up when the engine is running, if the driver has not fastened the seat belt.
