Apply the parking brake.

Automatic transmission: Place the gear selector in position "P" or "N".

Manual transmission: Place the gearshift lever in neutral and keep the clutch pedal fully depressed.

Insert the key into the ignition switch. The system will recognize the engine start code.

Turn the key all the way towards the instrument panel to position 3.

Once the engine starts, release the key.
