Pistons

Label A: (R1 for oversize pistons).

Mark B is oriented towards the timing drive.

Please note: Pistons are supplied complete with their own piston pins; these two elements are matched on the drive and cannot be confused.

Piston rings

• 1 - fireproof piston compression ring (there is no specific installation direction).
• 2 - piston compression sealing ring (marked "TOP" upwards).
• 3 - oil scraper piston ring (there is no specific installation direction).

Note

• The upper piston ring (1) has a color mark on the end (yellow: for 1.4 l engine; brown color: for 1.6L engines).
• The compression piston ring (2) has a color mark on the end (white: for 1.4 l engine; lilac-red color: for 1.6 l engines).
• The oil scraper piston ring (3) has a color mark on the end (white: for 1.4 l engine; brown color: for 1.6 l engines).

• Diameter P: outside diameter.
• Diameter G: inner diameter.
• Mark H: clearance in the plane.
