The CV joint on the wheel side, called the "Rzeppa" CV joint, has a ball bearing. The diameter of the balls (3) determines the diameter (Z) of the CV joint.
The CV joint on the JB gearbox side has a sliding tripod. The short joint (4) can be made of machined or raw steel.
There are drive shafts with different types of CV joints: "Glaenzer" on the wheel side and "PSA" on the gearbox side.
