40. Remove the camshaft drive belt as described above.
41. Remove the valve cover. To facilitate access, remove the distributor cover with high voltage wires.
42. Remove the distributor and fuel pump from the thermostat housing.
43. Remove the camshaft oil line.
44. Block the camshaft sprocket (e.g. with a setting rod) and unscrew the sprocket mounting bolt. Remove the sprocket and the cover behind it. Remove thrust plate (see pictures).
45. Gradually loosen the nuts of the camshaft bearing caps. If necessary, mark the covers and remove them. Be prepared for the fact that after removing the covers, the camshaft under pressure from the valve springs "jump up" up. Remove distributor.
46. Before starting the installation of the camshaft, check that the crankshaft is in the correct position (those. the installation rod was inserted into the hole intended for it). Rotate the crankshaft if necessary to avoid contact between the valves and the pistons.
47. Install the camshaft. Lubricate with oil and install its bearing caps. Gradually tighten the cap nuts to the correct torque. Install and secure the thrust plate.
48. Install a new oil seal on the end of the camshaft on which the sprocket is located.
49. Install the back cover of the sprocket, position it correctly using a 10 mm bar and tighten its fasteners (see photo). Install the camshaft sprocket, secure it with a pin and tighten its mounting bolt to the desired torque.
50. Install the fuel pump, distributor and lubrication line.
51. Install the valve cover and distributor cover with high voltage wires.
52. Install the camshaft drive belt.
