2. Check that the oil line cap is absolutely clean and reinstall it with a new gasket (see photo). Insert 5 mounting bolts with new copper washers and tighten them to the correct torque.
3. Install the following parts on the engine:
- A. Thermostat (see chapter 2 and photo).
- b. Water pump and fan (see chapter 2).
- V. Exhaust manifold and damper (see chapter 3 and photo).
- d. Fuel pump (see chapter 3).
- e. Starter (see chapter 10).
- e. distributor and ignition coil (see chapter 4).
It is best to leave the installation of the intake manifold and carburetor at the time when the engine is installed on the car, because. this will allow the gearshift linkage and intake fuel pump to be connected. The fuel pump outlet pipe can be installed now if not already done.
4. Check the engine and gearbox again to make sure nothing is missing.
