To remove the auxiliary heating resistor:
  • turn off the ignition and disconnect the ground wire from the battery;

  • remove the bottom panel 1 (see Figure 10.116), located under the dashboard;
  • unscrew bolts 3 and remove the side wall 4 of the center console;
  • remove trim panel 2 under the steering column by releasing it from the clips and pulling it down;
  • release the clips and disconnect the electrical connector 2 (figure 10.119);
  • unscrew screws 1 and remove additional heating resistor 3.

To install the auxiliary heating resistor:
  • connect the ground wire to the battery;
  • check the operation of electrical equipment;
  • initiate all electronic systems.
