- turn off the ignition and disconnect the ground wire from the battery;
- drain the liquid refrigerant from the air conditioning system circuit;
- drain the coolant from the engine cooling system;
- remove the instrument panel;

- in the engine compartment, unscrew two nuts 1 (figure 10.111) and unscrew bolt 2 a few turns;

- disconnect electrical connector 1 from the air conditioning unit (figure 10.112);
- unscrew bolts 2 and 3 securing the air conditioning unit;
- pull back the air conditioning unit and remove the centering pins;
- disconnect the water drain pipe located under the air conditioning unit;
- remove the air conditioning unit.
To install the air conditioning unit:
- install the air conditioning unit and connect the water drain pipe to it;

- install the air conditioning unit in the correct position using the centering pin 1 (figure 10.113).
Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- fill the engine cooling system with coolant;
- fill the air conditioning system circuit;
- connect the ground wire to the battery;
- check the operation of electrical equipment;
- initiate all electronic systems.
