The hood lock cable consists of two parts: the main part connects the hood release lever to the connecting bar, the second part connects the locks.
Hood release cable

1. Remove the two bolts securing the hood release lever to the under-panel hanger.
2. In the engine compartment, remove the cable connector bar located behind the front panel above the radiator.

3. If present, remove the anti-bounce element and disconnect the cable from the connector.

4. Tie a thin, strong cord to the end of the rope and release the rope from all fastenings along its entire length.
5. Remove the cable into the car. When the end of the cable appears from the engine compartment bulkhead, untie it from the hood release cable and leave it in the car. The cable will need to be used to tighten the new cable into place.
6. When installing the cable in its original place, tie the end of the new cable to the cord in the car interior.
7. Pull the hood release cable into the engine compartment using the cord.
8. Check that the bulkhead sealing ring has not shifted when installing the cable.
9. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Connecting cable
1. In the engine compartment, remove the cable connector bar located behind the front panel above the radiator.
2. If present, remove the anti-bounce element and disconnect the cable from the connector.
3. Disconnect the cable from the lock and the cable sheath from the suspension on the lock, release the cable from all fasteners along its entire length and remove the cable, marking its location. To improve access to the lock, it is advisable to remove the radiator grille.
4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
