When completely disassembled, thoroughly clean the cylinder block and remove all foreign particles from the cavities and lubrication channels. The lubrication channels can be cleaned well thanks to the screw plugs that can be unscrewed. The liquid with which the block was flushed and cleaned must be completely removed. If possible, dry the block after cleaning with compressed air. Make sure no oil has entered the cylinder head bolt holes. If oil is found in the holes, be sure to remove it.
The misalignment of the surface of the cylinder block is checked in the same way as the misalignment of the cylinder head. Measure the surface of the cylinder block in the longitudinal, transverse and diagonal directions. The thickness of the measuring template, which can freely go under the installed ruler, should not exceed 0.05 mm.
Attention! Before you start grinding the cylinder block, contact the workshop and check if this cylinder block can be modified.
