- remove the steering knuckle as described above;
- knock out the hub flange with a mandrel resting on the inside of the flange;
- if the inner bearing ring remains on the hub, press it off with a special puller;

- remove retaining ring 1 (figure 7.14);
- press out the outer bearing ring.
Install the front wheel hub bearing in the following order:
- press the bearing into the steering knuckle using a mandrel resting against the outer ring of the bearing;

- press fist 1 (figure 7.15) with a bearing on the hub, while the mandrel should rest against the inner ring;
- install new retaining ring 1 (see figure 7.14).
