- remove the shock absorber strut as described above;

- clamp fixture 1 in a vice (figure 7.16) to compress the spring;
- insert one or two turns of the spring into the lower fork 2 fixtures;
- compress the spring;
- install two bolts into holes A;
- unscrew nut 3;
- carefully release the spring and remove it.

Install the shock absorber spring in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the nut to a torque of 45 N·m.
