The ABS system increases the active safety of the vehicle and prevents the wheels from locking when braking. The system is activated immediately after the engine is started, and the indicator in the instrument cluster lights up and goes out. Constant illumination of the indicator indicates a malfunction in the ABS system. In this case, the brake system continues to operate normally. When the ABS system is operating normally, a slight vibration is felt on the brake pedal. During emergency braking, it is necessary to press the pedal hard and not release it.
