Special devices:
1 - spring compression device 4137-T M90;
2a - fixed cup 4137-T M2R;
2b - movable cup 4137-T M2C.
Note: Check the presence and condition of the protective rubber caps on the Fixed and Sliding Cups of the Spring Compressor.
Remove the shock absorber strut assembly (see the corresponding operation).
Removal
Note: Do not allow the suspension spring to come into direct contact with any metal object or device.
Place the shock absorber strut with spring compressors 1 and 2 in a vice using the Facom tool.
Compress the spring using the tools.
Unscrew the nut (1) and remove:
- shock absorber support (2);
- support cup (3);
- cup (4).
Release the spring (7) using tools 1 and 2.
Remove:
- suspension spring (7);
- shock absorber rod protection (5);
- elastic stop (6);
- shock absorber (8).

Installation
Note: Check the condition of the suspension spring (no traces of impacts, cracks or corrosion). The paint covering the spring should not be damaged to the point where bare metal is visible.
Check the condition of the thrust bearing.
Replace the thrust ball bearing and shock absorber support (if necessary).
Install the parts in reverse order.
Caution: Be sure to replace the nut (1).
Release the spring using tools 1 and 2.

Note: Check that the spring is properly installed on the cup.
Install the shock absorber strut (see the corresponding operation).
