1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

2. Remove the windshield wiper arm and its shaft nut with washers.

3. Open the tailgate and remove the trim panel (be careful not to break the panel mounting clips).

4. Remove the 2 screws securing the windshield wiper motor. Disconnect the wires from it and remove it (see photo).
