Figure 2.1. Indication of the number of kilometers remaining until the next maintenance on the total mileage counter
Immediately after turning on the ignition, the service symbol in the form of a wrench lights up in the instrument cluster for a few seconds, and the total mileage counter shows the rounded number of kilometers remaining until the next service (figure 2.1).

A few seconds later, after turning off the ignition, the daily and total mileage counters will work in normal mode (figure 2.2).
Figure 2.3. Wrench indication on the total mileage counter if there is less than 1000 km left before maintenance
If the vehicle has less than 1000 km left until the next service, a few seconds after the ignition is turned on, the daily and total mileage counters will operate as normal, but the spanner symbol will continue to light (figure 2.3). It serves as a reminder that maintenance is required soon.

If the next scheduled service is missed, each time the ignition is turned on, the spanner symbol and the mileage figure since the missed service will flash for a few seconds (figure 2.4).
Note: The spanner symbol will remain illuminated continuously while the engine is running until the service is completed.
Setting to zero
After completing the next maintenance at a Peugeot service station, the counter is reset to zero by the station's specialists. If you are performing maintenance yourself, you will need to perform the following steps to reset the meter to zero:
- turn off the ignition;
- press and hold the trip odometer reset button;
- turn on the ignition.
Note: If you need to disconnect the battery after completing this operation, first close the vehicle's central locking system and wait at least 5 minutes; otherwise, the reset will not be saved in the computer's memory.
The odometer will start counting down. When the display shows 0, release the button and the wrench symbol will go out.
