Before checking
- Place the car on a level, horizontal surface.
- Set the steering wheel to the straight-ahead position.
- The engine must be turned off.
1. On vehicles manufactured before September 2002, the power steering fluid reservoir is located on the right side of the engine compartment. The fluid level should be checked with the engine off. The liquid level is visible through the translucent wall of the tank. There are "MIN - MAX" marks on the tank wall

Tip: To ensure an accurate check, do not turn the steering wheel after turning off the engine.
2. The fluid level should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks. If refilling is necessary, wipe the surrounding area clean before removing the cap to prevent dirt from entering the reservoir
Safety first!
- If the power steering fluid reservoir requires frequent topping up, this means there are leaks in the system that need to be identified and repaired immediately.
3. Unscrew the cap and do not remove it from the tank until all the liquid has drained from it into the tank. Fill the reservoir to the "MAX" mark using the prescribed grade of fluid. Do not allow the tank to overfill. Once the correct level is reached, replace the cap and tighten it securely
4. On vehicles manufactured after September 2002, the power steering fluid reservoir is combined with the power steering pump located on the front of the engine. With the engine stopped, wipe clean the area around the filler neck of the tank and unscrew the filler cap on the tank
5. Wipe off all fluid from the dipstick attached to the cap with a clean cloth. Replace the cap, remove it again and note the fluid level on the dipstick. When the engine is cold, the fluid level should be between the lower ("ADD") and middle ("C") marks on the dipstick. If the engine is warm, the fluid level may reach the upper mark ("H")
6. If the fluid level is at the lower mark or even lower, add fluid to the middle mark. Use the prescribed working fluid. Do not allow the tank to overfill. Once the correct level is reached, replace the cap and tighten it securely
