When carrying luggage, you must take into account such characteristics of the vehicle as:
- own weight,
- payload,
- full mass,
- maximum load on the front axle,
- maximum load on the rear axle,
- maximum towed weight.
Attention! Never exceed any of these values. In particular, the maximum axle loads must be taken into account when distributing loads in the vehicle.
Luggage compartment
If possible, luggage should be secured in any way possible. The luggage compartment has six eyelets for securing cargo (three on each side). Use cords and straps that are strong enough to keep loads from shifting while driving.
Attention! Properly close the tailgate to avoid the risk of it opening while driving. Driving with the tailgate open is very dangerous as exhaust fumes may enter the passenger compartment.
Depending on how you use your vehicle, you can equip it with various load securing devices such as nets, bars, etc.
Below is a description of some of the equipment in the rear luggage compartment.
Luggage compartment cover
Luggage compartment cover (pic. 19, a) has a tension structure and is equipped with a winder, that is, it can be unwound and wound up. The closed canopy allows you to hide the contents of the luggage compartment from prying eyes.

To unwind the canopy, simply pull it towards you and to fix it, insert the left and right tabs on the rear corners of the canopy into the specially provided slots on the side panels of the luggage compartment (pic. 19b).

To roll up the canopy, pull it towards you, release the tabs from the sockets and, holding it, let it automatically roll up.
The canopy can be completely removed. To do this, squeeze the edge of the winder and lift it up to remove it.
Protective mesh
The luggage compartment can be fenced off from the passenger compartment using a special protective net (pic. 20, a).

To install the grid:
- Open the two slots located in the coat hook housings on each side of the vehicle (pic. 20b).
- Fasten the top corners of the net into the nests by first turning the crossbar of the net a quarter of a turn. Make sure the crossbar is secure.
- Fasten the tension straps of the net in the places provided in the floor of the body.
- Stretch the net with straps (pic. 20, in).

Note. There are two positions for setting the net, depending on whether the rear seat is folded or unfolded.
Folding the rear seat to increase luggage space The usable luggage space can be increased by folding the rear seat forward. To fold the seat:
- Unlock the rear seat back by pressing the latches provided at the top of the seat and using the corresponding rotary switches on the side of the seats.
- Fully fold the seat back forward to unlock the seats. In this case, the hooks for attaching the seats will appear.
- Then fold the seat cushion with the backrest folded forward to a vertical position along the front seatbacks.
Reinstalling the rear seat is done in reverse order. Make sure the seat is secure.
Note. The reliability of the fixation of the seat back is indicated by the presence of a red stripe on the seat latch in the visibility zone.
Roof rack
Two longitudinal rails on the roof of the car allow you to secure luggage on the roof with four fastening straps (maximum payload 35 kg). For transporting large items, the roof rails can be removed and installed transversely (maximum payload 70 kg or 35 kg per rail). The key to remove the roof rails is located in the rear roof stowage compartment (see relevant paragraph in paragraph 2).When the dimensions of the load permit this, it is recommended that the load be supported by the rails before securing the load with straps.
Warning. Never place things directly on the roof surface.
In any case, the load must rest on special anti-slip tapes and must not touch either the painted roof surface or the glazed roof section.
Attention! Do not exceed the permissible gross vehicle weight.
Attention! Placing luggage on the roof rack changes the position of the vehicle's center of gravity and its aerodynamic characteristics. This can have a negative effect on vehicle handling. When driving at high speed with luggage on the roof (e.g. when transporting sheathed skis) a significant lifting force is possible. In addition, it may cause an increase in braking distance. Adjust your driving style to accommodate changing traffic conditions. Be especially careful when cornering and in the presence of crosswinds.
Carriage of baggage in the cabin
When carrying luggage in the car, secure it with seat belts.
