Removal and installation the fuel tank (Peugeot 206)

Remove the fuel tank in the following order:
  • relieve pressure in the fuel line;
  • drain the fuel from the tank using a pumping unit;
  • place the car on a lift, raising the rear wheels;
  • remove the rear right wheel;
  • remove the mudguard;

  • unscrew bolts 1 (see figure 3.99) fuel tank filler neck;
  • remove the intermediate muffler of the exhaust system;

  • remove heat shield 1 (figure 3.103);
  • disconnect the parking brake cables from the fuel tank;

  • unscrew nuts 1 (figure 3.104) fuel tank mounts;
  • lower the fuel tank without removing it;
  • disconnect the tubes going to the tank and the neck;
  • disconnect the fuel level meter connector;
  • remove the fuel tank together with the filler neck.
