- relieve pressure in the fuel line;
- drain the fuel from the tank using a pumping unit;
- place the car on a lift, raising the rear wheels;
- remove the rear right wheel;
- remove the mudguard;

- unscrew bolts 1 (see figure 3.99) fuel tank filler neck;
- remove the intermediate muffler of the exhaust system;

- remove heat shield 1 (figure 3.103);
- disconnect the parking brake cables from the fuel tank;

- unscrew nuts 1 (figure 3.104) fuel tank mounts;
- lower the fuel tank without removing it;
- disconnect the tubes going to the tank and the neck;
- disconnect the fuel level meter connector;
- remove the fuel tank together with the filler neck.
