Special fixture:
1 - device for pumping «Luro» or similar.
Fluid replacement
Empty the brake reservoir as much as possible (1) (if necessary, use a clean syringe).
Disconnect connector (4).
Disconnect the hose (2).
Loosen and remove axle (3).
Remove the brake fluid reservoir (1).
Drain the brake fluid reservoir and clean it.
Install parts in reverse order.
Filling the brake system
Fill the brake reservoir (1).
Attention. Before bleeding, check the brake fluid level and top up if necessary. Use only clean, non-emulsified brake fluid.
During pumping, the ABS system must be disabled.
Front brake caliper bleed screw
Rear brake caliper bleed screw
When bleeding the brake cylinders, proceed in the following sequence:
- front left wheel;
- front right wheel;
- rear left wheel;
- rear right wheel.
Bleeding with fixture
Connect the bleeder 1 to the brake fluid reservoir.
Adjust the tool pressure to 2 bar.
Connect a transparent tube to the air outlet, lower the other end of the tube into a clean vessel. Unscrew the fitting and wait until the liquid begins to flow out without air bubbles.
Close the bleed screw.
Disconnect the bleeder.
Bleed each brake in the same way in the sequence above.
Make sure the brake fluid level is correct (between marks «MIN» And «MAX»).
If necessary, top up with brake fluid recommended and certified by the manufacturer.
Pumping without a tool
Note. Usually, two people are needed to perform this procedure. If the procedure is carried out by one mechanic, lock the brake pedal in the depressed position with a suitable tool, such as a pry bar.
Depress the brake pedal to pressurize the system.
Connect a transparent tube to the air bleed screw, lower the other end of the tube into a clean vessel. Loosen the drain screw and wait for the liquid to flow out without air bubbles.
Close the bleed screw.
Bleed each brake in the same way in the sequence above. Disconnect the bleeder.
Note. Perform the operation again if necessary.
Make sure the brake fluid level is correct (between marks «MIN» And «MAX»). If necessary, top up with brake fluid recommended and certified by the manufacturer.
