Due to recent changes in the design of petrol and diesel engines (table 4.10) it is now possible to drain the oil using a suction device. Oil is drained through the dipstick tube, which goes all the way to the bottom of the oil pan. The end of the dipstick tube is flared, allowing the connection of a suction device to drain the oil (two tip diameters: 14 and 16 mm depending on the engine type).

Attention! This type of oil drain cannot be performed on engines that are not specifically designed for it; in some cases, due to the shape of the oil pan, the residual amount of oil is too large (about 1 l).
