Note. In foggy weather, the ambient light sensor may determine the light level is sufficient. This means that the automatic switching on of lighting and light signaling devices may not turn on.
On all new vehicles, this function is activated and always ready for action.
To disable or re-enable the automatic operation of lighting and light signaling devices, do the following:
- turn the ignition key to position 1 (auxiliary consumers);
- press the end of the light switch and hold it pressed for more than 2 s.
Note. After the ignition is switched off and depending on the level of outside lighting, the lights will remain on for about 45 seconds or until the doors are locked.
Attention! Do not cover the light sensor located in the center of the instrument panel. With its help, automatic switching on of marker lights is carried out.
Enable the function
When the function is activated, a buzzer sounds and the display shows the message «Lighting devices work in automatic mode».
Disabling the function
When the function is disabled, a buzzer sounds.
Note. The function is automatically deactivated for as long as the driver uses the manual switches for lighting and warning lights.
In the event of a light sensor malfunction, the system will automatically switch to the active state (lanterns will light up). In this case, the driver will be warned by a buzzer, as well as a message on the display «Faulty automatic operation of lighting devices».
Attention! Contact a Peugeot Dealership to have the system checked.
