Windshield wiper operation

In position "1" or "2" (see figure 1.23, 1.24) when the car stops, the windshield wiper automatically switches to a slower mode, but as soon as the car starts moving again, the windshield wiper returns to a faster mode.

In position "I" ("Intermittent mode") the wiper speed is proportional to the vehicle speed.

In the "AUTO" position, the wiper speed is proportional to the rainfall intensity.

Note: If more than 1 minute has passed since the ignition was turned off and the windshield wiper was on, turn it on again. To do this, first move the lever to any position, and then to the desired one.

Automatic windshield wiper operation

In the "AUTO" position, the brush stroke frequency is automatically adjusted depending on the intensity of precipitation.

Serviceability check

When the automatic mode is turned on, the message "Windshield wiper is operating in automatic mode" appears on the screen.

When the automatic windshield wiper mode is turned off, a buzzer sounds.

If a malfunction occurs, a buzzer will sound and the message "Automatic wiper mode malfunction" will appear on the multifunction display.

When the "AUTO" function is turned on, the windshield wiper will operate in intermittent mode.

Important! To check the system's functionality, please contact a Peugeot service station.

Caution! Do not cover the rain sensor located on the windshield behind the rearview mirror.

When washing your vehicle in an automatic car wash, turn off the ignition or move the windshield wiper control lever to the position where the automatic mode is off.

Windshield washer and headlight washer

Move the steering column switch towards the steering wheel - the wipers and washers are turned on for a certain period of time.

The windshield washer and headlight washer are switched on simultaneously for 2 seconds only when the low beam or high beam headlights are on.

Rear window wiper

Turn ring switch A (see figure 1.23, 1.24) until the first click is heard to activate the intermittent rear window wiper mode.

Rear window washer

Turn ring switch A (see figure 1.23, 1.24) beyond the first click - the windshield washer and rear window wiper will turn on for a certain period of time.

Setting the wiper blades in position for replacement and windshield maintenance

Within the first minute after turning off the ignition, move the windshield wiper lever to any position - the windshield wipers will move to the center of the windshield and stop. This allows you to wash the windshield, replace the wipers or park the car in cold weather.

To return the wiper blades to their original position, turn on the ignition and then the windshield wiper switch.
