They are installed in the steering wheel hub for the driver and in the instrument panel for the front passenger. Both airbags deploy simultaneously, except when the passenger airbag is deactivated (figure 1.48).
Airbag warning light in the instrument cluster
If this warning light comes on and is accompanied by a buzzer sound and the message "Airbag fault" on the display, contact a Peugeot dealer to have the system checked.
Avoid smoking if possible, as inflating air bags can cause burns or injuries from cigarettes or pipes.
Caution! Do not drive while holding the steering wheel by the spokes or placing your hands on the steering wheel hub. The passenger is prohibited from placing his feet on the front panel.
