When approaching any obstacle (for example, to a person, a car, a tree, a pole, a curb, etc.), located at the rear, sensors recognize the object and a sound signal is emitted (figure 1.39).
Note: A trailer or bicycle carrier attached to the rear of the vehicle will automatically disable the sensors (both the towing and bicycle carrier must be approved by Peugeot). In winter, ensure that the sensors are not covered by frost or snow.
The system starts working immediately after the reverse gear is engaged, as indicated by sound signals. As you approach any obstacle, the frequency of the sound signal increases.
If the distance to the obstacle becomes less than 25 cm, the signal becomes continuous.
When the transmission shifts to neutral, the system stops operating.
If the sensors are faulty, short beeps will be heard in combination with longer ones when the reverse gear is engaged.
