Pic. 1.39. Parking Obstacle Detection Zone
When approaching an obstacle (for example, to a person, a car, a tree, a pole, a curb, etc.), located at the back, the sensors recognize the object and an audible signal sounds (pic. 1.39).
Note. A trailer or bicycle carrier in the rear automatically disables the sensors (both devices - both towing and for transporting bicycles - must be approved by Peugeot). In winter, make sure that the sensors are not covered by frost or snow.
The system starts working immediately after the reverse gear is engaged, as evidenced by sound signals. As you approach an obstacle, the frequency of the sound signal increases.
If the distance to the obstacle becomes less than 25 cm, the sound of the signal becomes continuous.
When you shift to neutral gear, the system stops.
In the event of a sensor malfunction, short beeps will be emitted in combination with longer ones when reverse gear is engaged.
