Attention! It is recommended to systematically replace the differential o-rings and self-locking nuts that have been removed.
1. Install the engine in the engine compartment.
2. Install the gearbox mount on the left side and tighten the two nuts to 17.5 Nm.
3. Tighten the central nut to 35 Nm.
4. Install right engine mount and tighten nuts to 45 Nm.
5. In vehicles equipped with a power steering system, install:
- belt tension bar;
- power steering pump pulley;
- power steering pump piping.
6. Install and tension the belt.
7. Install the radiator.
8. Connect the elements of the gear shift mechanism and the reverse gear release cable.
9. Install and adjust clutch cable.
10. Connect previously disconnected electrical connections.
11. Connect the pipelines of the cooling system, vacuum brake booster and fuel lines.
12. Install accelerator cable, air cleaner assembly, battery (without connecting it) and its bracket.
13. Connect the speedometer cable.
14. Install intake pipe.
15. Lubricate the edges of the sealing ring and install the right axle shaft in the differential.
16. Fit intermediate bearing housing and tighten bolts to 25 Nm (by first lubricating them with Loctite Frenetanch).
17. Turn the bearing bolts half a turn and tighten the nuts to 17.5 Nm.
18. Install the engine-to-body bracket.
19. Tighten the nut on the engine side to 35 Nm and the nut on the body side to 45 Nm.
20. Remove the plastic cover of the right O-ring.
21. Install the left axle shaft in the differential.
22. Connect steering knuckle to levers and tighten nuts to 30 Nm.
23. Install the plastic transmission cover.
24. Remove the O-ring cover.
25. Install wheels. Lower the car onto wheels.
26. Install stabilizer connectors and tighten bolts to 65 Nm.
27. Pour oil into the engine and gearbox.
28. Fill with coolant and bleed air from the cooling system.
29. Fill with oil in the power steering circuit and bleed air from the circuit (in vehicles equipped with power steering system).
