Caution: It is recommended to systematically replace the differential seals and self-locking nuts that have been removed.
1. Install the engine in the engine compartment.
2. Install the elastic support of the gearbox suspension on the left side and tighten the two nuts to a torque of 17.5 Nm.
3. Tighten the central nut to 35 Nm.
4. Install the right engine mount bracket and tighten the nuts to 45 Nm.
5. In vehicles equipped with a hydraulic power steering system, install:
- belt tension bar;
- power steering pump pulley;
- power steering pump lines.
6. Install and tighten the belt.
7. Install the radiator.
8. Connect the gear shift mechanism components and the reverse gear release cable.
9. Install and adjust the clutch cable.
10. Reconnect previously disconnected electrical connections.
11. Connect the cooling system lines, brake booster and fuel lines.
12. Install accelerator cable, air cleaner assembly, battery (without connecting it) and its bracket.
13. Connect the speedometer cable.
14. Install the exhaust pipe.
15. Lubricate the edges of the sealing ring and install the right axle shaft in the differential.
16. Install the intermediate bearing housing and tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (first by lubricating them with Loctite Frenetanch).
17. Turn the bearing mounting bolts half a turn and tighten the nuts to a torque of 17.5 Nm.
18. Install the engine-to-body connection bracket.
19. Tighten the nut on the engine side to a torque of 35 Nm, and the nut on the body side to a torque of 45 Nm.
20. Remove the plastic cover of the right sealing ring.
21. Install the left axle shaft into the differential.
22. Connect the steering knuckle to the levers and tighten the nuts to a torque of 30 Nm.
23. Install the plastic gearbox cover.
24. Remove the seal ring housing.
25. Install the wheels. Lower the car onto the wheels.
26. Install the stabilizer connectors and tighten the bolts to 65 Nm.
27. Fill the engine and gearbox with oil.
28. Fill with coolant and bleed air from the cooling system.
29. Fill the power steering circuit with oil and remove air from the circuit (in vehicles equipped with power steering).
