Removal
The lower wishbone can be removed without removing the shock absorber strut.
1. Loosen the wheel nuts, then place the front of the vehicle on jack stands and remove the corresponding front wheel. The wheel suspension must be unloaded.
2. Unscrew nut 1 of the tie rod end and press out the ball joint pin of the end using a puller from the wishbone (see illustration).
4.2. Unscrew nut 1 of the tie rod end and press out the ball joint pin of the end using a puller from the wishbone
Caution! Leave the nut on the end of the ball joint pin thread. It will serve as a support for the puller rod and will prevent damage to the pin threads.
3. To avoid damaging the ball joint seal, cover it with a rag.
4. Unscrew nut 4 of the anti-roll bar support on the lower side of the wishbone. Do not disconnect the stabilizer bar from the control arm yet.
5. Unscrew nut 2 of the clamp bolt securing the ball joint pin to the steering knuckle and press the spherical support pin out of the spline on the steering knuckle (see illustration). The ball-head pin fits into the slot quite securely, but do not try to push the slot apart by inserting a screwdriver into it. In workshops, appropriate tools are used for this purpose. If you don't have them, you can use a socket wrench of the appropriate size.
6. Disconnect the shock absorber strut from the steering knuckle, see the relevant chapter.
7. Move the steering knuckle to the side to disconnect the stabilizer bar link. Make sure that the drive shaft does not become disconnected from the gearbox. Secure the steering knuckle to the body with wire.
8. Unscrew bolts 3-5 and remove transverse arm 1 (see illustration).

Installation
9. Check the condition of the front suspension wishbone, rubber bushings, and ball joint and make sure that they are not worn or have any mechanical damage, and that the wishbone ball joint has no play. If even one part is damaged, the entire wishbone must be replaced.
10. Lubricate the threads of the control arm mounting bolts 3-5 with Loctite protective grease.
11. Install the wishbone in place and screw in bolts 3-5, and also connect the anti-roll bar strut.
12. Secure the anti-roll bar to the strut.
13. Connect the control arm ball joint to the steering knuckle, and then connect the lower part of the shock absorber strut to it.
14. Insert the steering knuckle and shock absorber strut mounting bolts and tighten their nuts to a torque of 100 Nm.
15. Load the suspension to approximately its normal position and tighten the wishbone mounting bolts.
