Replacement of the tailgate (3- and 5-door hatchback) (Peugeot 207)

Remove the tailgate wiring harness from the inside (see below).

Remove the handles (1).



Remove the fasteners (2).

Remove the rear pillar trim panels (3) (see below).



Move the headlining trim (4) slightly to allow the fixture [1] to pass through, being careful not to bend the trim panel.

Remove the fasteners (5) of the tailgate hinges.



Remove the telescopic struts (6).



Remove the tailgate (7).

Note: To make adjusting the tailgate easier, follow the steps below.

Remove the hinge (8) from each side.

Treat the tips (A) of the tailgate hinges.



Pre-tighten the fasteners (5) using the tool [1]. Tighten the fasteners (9).

Adjust the gaps and align using fasteners (5) and (9) (see below).



Open the trunk door.



Lock the fasteners (5) (tightening torque 20 Nm).

Lock the fasteners (9) (tightening torque 9 Nm).

Initialize all electronic components.

Check the functionality of electrical equipment.
