1. Before removing the wiper arm, turn the windshield wiper on and off to ensure that the arms are in the normal parked position (the brushes are parallel to the lower edge of the windshield).

3. The leash is installed in reverse order. When finished, check that the blades are parallel to the bottom edge of the windshield and test the operation of the wiper (pre-wet the glass to avoid damaging the wipers).
