2. Washer malfunctions are usually caused by clogged nozzles. If, with the pump running and the tank filled with water, the nozzles do not supply water to the glass, they should be cleaned with a thin wire. Another cause of washer failure is twisting or disconnection of its tubes. In winter, the washer may not work due to freezing of water in the pipes or in the tank (in this case, special antifreeze for glass washer should be added to the water).
h. If the pump does not work when the washer is turned on, you should get to the pump and disconnect the electrical connector from it. Connect a 12V test lamp between wire N 87 and ground wire M23 and check that the pump is receiving power. If the lamp lights up, the pump must be replaced. If the lamp does not light up, go through the circuit and find the break.
Note: in no case do not fill the washer tank with antifreeze for cooling systems, because. it corrodes paint and does not help clean glass.
