1. Pre-1986 models may experience radio interference from the front brake calipers (especially when driving on wet or salted roads). Noise travels to the radio via brake pad wear sensor wires.
2. Interference can be reduced by grounding the front strut calipers or piston rods. On the latest DBA calipers, the anti-rotation plate has a special hole with a diameter of 5 mm for connecting the ground bar. Girling calipers have "blind" a conical hole near the brake hose connection, where a screw with a diameter of 5 mm, a thread pitch of 0.8 mm and a maximum length of 10 mm can be inserted, which serves the same purpose.
3. Do not drill holes in the calipers or attempt to modify them to remove obstructions. In difficult cases, a specialist should be consulted.
4. On GTX models with DBA calipers, the ground bar must be secured with the mudguard mounting bolt.
