1. The only wear parts on the generator are the brushes and rotor bearings.
2. Brushes should be inspected every 120,000 km and replaced if necessary. The bearings are sealed and do not require lubrication.
3. Inspect the alternator drive belt every 7500 km. If it is worn, stretched or cracked, the belt should be replaced. If the belt is in good condition, check its tension. Replace belt or adjust belt tension (see section 10 and section 11).
4. Every 7500 km, clean the outside of the generator with a rag soaked in kerosene (especially around ventilation openings on the side opposite the fan). Check the reliability of the fastening of the wiring of the generator and the voltage regulator.
