Generator — special precautions (Peugeot 305)

1. When charging the battery in a car, you should disconnect it from the rest of the electrical system, otherwise you may damage the generator diodes.

2. When the engine is running, the generator should not be disconnected from the battery, as this will damage it.



3. Never ground wire "8" marked "EXC" (electromagnetic field exciter), on the generator or voltage regulator.
