The brake force regulator can be either integrated into the wheel brake cylinders, with two rigidly mounted regulators installed, or a load-sensitive regulator can be installed. The brake force regulator cannot be repaired and if it fails, it is replaced with a new one. After removing the load-sensitive regulator, the hoses are connected in accordance with the diagram in Figure 295. The brake force regulator is adjusted by lengthening or shortening the spring between the brake force regulator and the rear axle mount by turning the adjusting nut on the end of the spring rod. The location of the regulator is shown in Figure 296.
