General information and design of the rear suspension (Peugeot 307)

The rear suspension beam consists of two longitudinal arms and a reinforcement, welded together. The rear beam is attached to the body via a bracket with rubber-metal bushings. For shock absorption, two shock absorbers and two springs are used, located separately, resulting in increased trunk volume.



Figure 6.26 shows the elements of the rear suspension design.

Caution! Welding and straightening work on rear suspension components is strictly prohibited. Be sure to replace self-locking nuts, as well as bolts with signs of corrosion.
