The occurrence of certain errors in the fuel injection system leads to the failure of the diagnostic indicator MIL ("Malfunction Indicator Lamp") on the instrument panel.
These errors can be identified by the indicator that accompanies them when reading the error of the diagnostic device. It may happen that the indicator goes out when the engine is stopped and lights up again when it is started (as the error counter increases, the error changes from permanent to temporary).
MIL Engine diagnostic indicator lights up.:
- high pressure fuel pump flow regulator error;
- power supply error(5V)accelerator pedal;
- high pressure fuel sensor power supply error (5V);
- accelerator pedal position sensor malfunction;
- high pressure fuel sensor;
- engine temperature sensor error;
- exhaust gas recirculation system malfunction;
- common rail high pressure pressure regulation error;
- diesel fuel injector failure;
- pre-heating and post-heating relay malfunction;
- engine control computer telecoding error;
- engine cooling fan unit ground connection error;
- communication error between the specified and measured boost pressure values.
Engine coolant temperature warning indicator activation:
- the indicator lights up if the estimated coolant temperature reaches 115°C;
- the indicator goes out if the estimated coolant temperature drops below 117°C;
- the indicator flashes in case of a break in the electrical circuit of the engine temperature sensor;
- malfunction of the electric fan unit.
