Heater core — removal and installation (Peugeot 305)

1. If necessary, the heater core can be removed separately, although this will not significantly reduce the amount of work compared to removing the heater assembly.

2. Follow the instructions in the section on removing the heater, taking into account the following differences:

• a. Leave the heater control rods in place (except for the valve control shaft).
• b. There is no need to remove the bracket that the heater cover is attached to.
• c. There is no need to disconnect the fan motor.

3. After disconnecting the hoses from the heater core, unscrew the core mounting bolt located on the left side of the heater casing and remove the core from the casing by pulling it to the right (see B/Figure 11.18 and 11.19).

4. Installation of the heater core is carried out in reverse order. For final operations see. in paragraph 8 of the section on removing the heater.
