Glove Compartment Latch Repair (Pre-1983 Models) (Peugeot 305)

1. If the glove compartment latch is broken, it can be repaired using a reinforcing plate shaped as shown in B/Figure 12.141. 2 mm thick mild sheet steel can be used to make the plate.



2. Install the plate on the latch support and make 5 mm diameter side holes in the plastic using a sharpened bent rod heated in the flame of a gas burner.



3. Fix the plate on the sides with bolts and nuts.
