2. To replace the lamp, unscrew the top and bottom mounting screws of the lens and pull the lens out of its mounts. Raise the latch and pull out the cartridge, which contains 2 lamps. Each of them is a single filament lamp with a bayonet fit and to remove it, you just need to press the lamp and turn it counterclockwise. The lamp is installed in the reverse order (see pictures).
3. When installing the lens, be careful not to over-tighten its fixing screws, as plastic may crack. Upon completion, check the operation of the lamps.
Note: If the direction indicators do not work, and the situation does not change after replacing the bulbs, the cause of the malfunction may lie in the light interrupter shown in B / fig. 11.7.
Replacing headlight/turn signal bulbs on 1983 release models
1. Remove the headlight on the desired side.
2. Press the clip (or clamps), that secures the side light, and remove the light (see pictures).
3. Pull out the cartridge and replace the lamp. Reinstall the socket, side lamp and headlight.
Side turn signal repeaters - description
1. Side turn signal repeaters are installed on the latest models and work together with the turn indicators.
2. The side repeaters are press fit in the front fenders and if the bulb burns out, the repeater assembly must be replaced.
