1. All models produced since the end of 1986 are equipped with a system of dimmed (daytime) low beam headlights, the purpose of which is to prevent driving during daylight hours with only the parking lights on (for countries where low-beam headlights are mandatory at all times of the day).

2. When the ignition and parking lights are turned on, a special relay is activated, which closes internal contacts and, through a resistor, sends current to the low beam circuit. The low beam filaments in the headlight bulbs produce light with an intensity of 1/6 that of normal low beam headlights. The relay coil is grounded through the high beam headlight wires, so the relay is turned off when the high beam is turned on.
