- Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.
- Disconnect the connector from the rear of the alternator. Disconnect the wire from the disconnected terminal.
- Loosen the belt tension as described in section "Cooling system" (depending on the installed units) and remove the belt.
- Loosen and remove the two generator mounting bolts from the bottom.
- Remove the generator. This may require raising the vehicle.
- The generator is installed in reverse order. Install and tension the V-belt as described in section "Cooling system".
