- before removing, close the sliding/tilting roof panel;
- turn off the ignition and disconnect the wire «masses» from the storage battery;
- remove the upholstery of the ceiling;

- disconnect electrical connector 1 (pic. 10.94) from the drive mechanism of the sliding roof panel;
- disconnect pipes 2 for draining water from the lift-sliding panel of the roof;
- unscrew the nuts 3 fastening the lifting-sliding roof panel;
- remove the sliding roof panel 4 through the rear of the vehicle.
To install the sliding roof panel assembly:
- make sure that the water drain pipes are not kinked or clogged;
Attention! Do not use grease when installing water drain pipes (risk of cracking of the ends of the water drain tubes in contact with the grease).
- install the sliding roof panel on the car;
- screw nuts 3 fastening the lifting-sliding roof panel and tighten them by hand;

- install gaskets 1 (pic. 10.95), bent in the form of a corner of sheet steel 2.5 mm thick, at the rear and sides of the sliding/tilting roof panel;
- fit spacers 2, bent into a 2.0 mm thick sheet steel angle, in front of the sliding/tilting roof panel;
- tighten the sliding roof panel mounting nuts to 7.5 Nm;
- make sure that no external objects can interfere with the correct installation and fixing of the sliding/tilting roof panel (proximity of stamped body parts, electrical wiring harnesses and side airbags);
- connect electrical connector 1 (see fig. 10.94);
- check the gaps and alignment of the sliding/tilting roof panel;
- perform the initiation and learning of the positions of the sliding roof panel;
- several times check the operation of the sliding roof panel;
- further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal;
- connect wire «masses» to the battery;
- initiate all electronic systems.
