Two electrical fuse boxes are located in the instrument panel (from the driver's side) and in the engine compartment.

Spare fuses as well as special tweezers for their dismantling are located on the inner surface of the cover of the fuse box located in the instrument panel (see fig. 9.1).
If the fuse is blown, then the conductor connecting the fuse contacts is broken.
Before removing a fuse, turn off the corresponding circuit (or ignition), then remove the fuse from the contacts.
Before replacing a blown fuse, the cause of the fault must be determined and corrected. The fuse numbers are marked on the panel of the fuse block.
Always replace a fuse with another fuse of the same rating. Each fuse is marked with the value of the protected current. In addition, the color of the fuse body corresponds to the value of the protected current. Correspondence of the color of the fuse to the current value is given in Table. 9.2.
Never replace a fuse more than once without determining the cause of the blown fuse.
If the installed fuse blows again, check the electrical circuit protected by the fuse.
In most cases, the fault is caused by a short circuit caused by poor insulation. If the fuse is protecting multiple circuits, try to find the circuit that is causing the fuse to blow, including each circuit in turn (if it is possible).
Never replace a fuse with a jumper wire, as the vehicle's electrical circuit may be seriously damaged.

To access the fuses located in the instrument panel, remove cover 1 (pic. 9.5), releasing it from the latches and pulling down, while you will gain access to the fuse box, 16-pin diagnostic connector and the switching unit.

The location of the fuses on the fuse box in the instrument panel is shown in fig. 9.6.
Numbers, rated current and circuits protected by fuses located in the instrument panel are given in Table. 9.3.
Circuits protected by fuses in the instrument panel
To access the fuses located in the engine compartment (the fuse box is located on the left in the engine compartment, near the battery), remove the shroud and cover from the fuse box.
Close the fuse box cover carefully and replace the shroud when finished.

The location of the fuses on the fuse box in the engine compartment is shown in fig. 9.7.
The numbers, rated current and circuits protected by fuses located in the engine compartment are given in Table. 9.4.
High current electrical fuses provide additional protection for electrical equipment circuits. All work on them must be carried out by qualified Peugeot dealers.
Numbers, rated current and circuits protected by fuses designed for high current are given in table. 9.5.
Attention! The characteristics of fuses and electrical circuits may change from year to year.
