- turn off the ignition and disconnect the ground wire from the battery;
- remove the decorative covers of the generator;
- remove the accessory drive belt;
- move the wire trough away from the engine and secure it;
- disconnect the electrical wires from the generator;

- unscrew the compressor mounting bolts 1 (figure 9.2) air conditioner and, without disconnecting the hoses from it, move it to the side and secure it to the engine with soft wire;
Caution! Do not open the air conditioning system's refrigeration circuit. Do not pinch the refrigerant hoses.
- unscrew bolt 2 of the generator bracket, this will free up access to bolt 3 of the generator bracket, which also needs to be unscrewed;
- unscrew the rear upper generator mounting bolt;

- unscrew bolt 3 (figure 9.3) generator mounts;
- unscrew the tension roller mounting bolt 1 of the poly V-belt;
- unscrew the bolt securing the support 2 of the poly V-belt tension roller and remove it;
- move the generator away from the engine and lift it up out of the engine compartment.
To install the generator:
- before installing the generator, check the presence of spacers on the generator bracket;
- install the generator onto the engine and secure it with bolts, starting with the two located on the pulley side;
- tighten the generator mounting bolts to a torque of 40 N·m;
- tighten the generator bracket mounting bolt to a torque of 20 N·m;
- install the air conditioning compressor onto the bracket and secure it with bolts;
- further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- connect the ground wire to the battery;
- initiate all electronic systems.
