10. Remove all traces of dirt from the outside of the filter housing, and then drain the condensate from the fuel filter as described in paragraph 4.
11. Release the clamp and disconnect the fuel outlet line from the filter housing cover (figure 19.11).

12. Release the clamp on the filter housing cover and then position the cover away from the housing (figure 19.12). Discard the sealing ring for the lid; a new ring should be used when installing.

13. Remove the fuel filter and remove the sealing ring from the housing (figure 19.13).

14. Remove all traces of dirt from the inside of the filter housing.

15. After making sure that the housing and cover are absolutely clean, install the new fuel filter.
16. Correctly install the new small o-ring onto the top of the filter, and then install the new large o-ring onto the cover (figure 19.16, a, b).

17. Position the cover correctly on the filter housing and install the clamp. Make sure the clamp is properly engaged with the housing and cover and securely fasten it.
18. Connect the fuel outlet line to the cap.
19. Make sure the filter housing drain plug is securely closed, then fill the fuel system as described in chapter 4B.
20. After the engine starts to idle smoothly, make sure that the rubber mounts on the engine cover are correctly installed, install this cover and secure it in the standard position with the appropriate fasteners.
