10. Remove all traces of dirt from the outside of the filter housing, and then drain the condensate from the fuel filter as described in paragraph 4.
11. Release the clamp and disconnect the fuel outlet line from the filter housing cover (pic. 19.11).

12. Release the clip on the filter housing cover, and then position the cover away from the housing (pic. 19.12). Discard the o-ring for the cap; when installing, use a new ring.

13. Remove the fuel filter and remove the O-ring from the housing (pic. 19.13).

14. Remove all traces of dirt from the inside of the filter housing.
15. After making sure that the body and cover are absolutely clean, install a new fuel filter.
16. Install the new small o-ring correctly on top of the filter, and then install the new large o-ring on the cover (pic. 19.16, a, b).

17. Correctly position the cover on the filter housing and install the clip. Make sure that the clip is correctly engaged with the housing and cover, and fix it securely.
18. Connect the outlet fuel line to the cap.
19. Ensure that the filter housing drain plug is securely closed, then prime the fuel system as described in chapter 4B.
20. After the engine starts to run smoothly at idle, make sure that the rubber supports on the engine cover are correctly installed, install this cover and secure it in its normal position with the appropriate clamps.
