Diesel engine DW8



Remove the generator in the following order:
  • disconnect the negative battery cable;
  • disconnect the contact connector from the control unit;
  • remove the decorative engine cover;
  • remove the accessory drive belt;
  • disconnect and move the power steering pump away without opening the system circuit;
  • disconnect the connectors from the generator;

  • unscrew bolts 1 (figure 10.1);

  • unscrew bolt 1 (figure 10.2);

  • unscrew bolt 1 (figure 10.3);
  • remove the generator.

Petrol engines



Remove the generator in the following order:
  • disconnect the negative battery cable;

  • remove the accessory drive belt (figure 10.4);

  • disconnect and move pump 1 (figure 10.5) power steering without opening the system circuit;

  • remove video 2 (figure 10.6);
  • disconnect the 1 terminal connectors from the generator;
  • unscrew the generator mounting bolts;
  • remove the generator.

Install the generator for both engines in the following order:

Attention! Check for spacers 2 (figure 10.7) on the attachment support bracket before installing the generator in place.

  • install a generator;

Attention! Tighten the fasteners to the specified torque, starting with the two fasteners located on the pulley side.

  • tighten bolts 4 to 43 Nm;
  • tighten bolts 1 and 3 to 30 Nm;
  • install the accessory drive belt;
  • proceed with installation in the reverse order of removal.
