Removing
Note. After turning off the ignition, wait 15 minutes before disconnecting the battery to ensure that the initialization results of the various ECU parameters are remembered.
Special tools for removing injectors:
1 - torque wrench 1603-A;
2 - tubular tip 1603-G;
3 - extension 1603-E;
4 - tubular tip 1603-1;
5 - torque wrench 1608-A;
6 - key for angular tightening 1608-C;
7 - head for bolts with a hole for hexagon 1608-D;
8 - T-shaped extension 1608-E;
9 - set of plugs 0188-T.
Disconnect the battery.
Note. Clean the high pressure pipes before unscrewing them.
Unscrew:
- connections (1), while holding the fitting on the nozzle (A) using a wrench;
- connections (2).
Note. Plug the holes with plugs 9 as you remove the high pressure fuel pipes.
Remove the fuel return pipe (3) on the injectors.
Remove nuts (4), centering sleeves (5) and leather pads (6).
Attention. Don't turn the nut (IN).
Installation
Reinstall guide bolts (7) (if they were removed) into the cylinder head.
Remove the plugs 9 that cover the wells of the injectors.
Make sure the bracket (8) still locked onto its retaining ring.
Install:
- new leather pads (6);
- new centering bushings (5);
- nozzles.
Check for anti-vibration bushings (9) pipes for supplying fuel to the nozzles on the crankcase of the covers of the camshaft bearings. Remove plugs 9 as the tubes are installed.
Install new high pressure fuel lines. Tighten the thread by hand until it stops.
Install connectors (1), going to the injectors.
Install the pipe fittings on the fuel rail (2) high fuel pressure.
Attention. Ensure correct positioning of the high pressure fuel pipes on the anti-vibration bushings (9).
Replace the nuts (4).
Note. Tighten the nuts by hand (4) diesel injector mounts (during manual tightening, make sure that the clamp (8) was placed horizontally and was fixed on its retaining ring).
Attention. Stop hand tightening when the circlip contacts the camshaft bearing cap housing.
Tighten nuts (4) force 4 Nm (using tools 5-7). Angular tighten 45°±5°nuts (4) (using tools 6-7-8).
Attention. Tighten gradually and in one pass.
Pre-tighten with tools 1-2-3-4:
- pipe fasteners (2) torque 225 Nm;
- pipe fasteners (1) torque 225 Nm.
Reinstall the diesel fuel return pipe (3) on the injectors.
