Removal



Place the car on a lift.

Disconnect the battery.

Raise the car.

Remove the sound insulation that is attached under the engine.

Disconnect the air supply tube (1).

Loosen the bolts (2).

Loosen the bolts (2).

Move and hang the air conditioner compressor to the car body (depending on the configuration option).

Remove the mounting bolts (2) of the heat shield (3).

Remove the pressure take-off tubes (4-5).

Remove the pressure take-off tubes (4-5).


Move the heat shield (3) aside (to loosen the clamp (7) of the catalytic converter/diesel particulate filter assembly).



Remove the exhaust system clamp (8).

Release the clamp (7).

Remove the diesel particulate filter (6).

Remove the diesel particulate filter (6).


Installation



Install the diesel particulate filter (6).

Note: Position the groove "a" of the filter in the center of the slots "b" (sticking point) pre-catalytic converter (9).

Note: The repair kit comes with a template for aligning the exhaust hose and the diesel particulate filter.


Insert a spacer to position the flexible element of the exhaust system (in area "c").

Tighten the clamp (7).

Remove the gasket (in area "c").

Install in place:
  • exhaust system clamp (8);
  • pressure take-off tubes (4-5);
  • heat shield mounting bolts (3) (tightening torque 5 Nm).

Install the remaining parts in reverse order.

Tighten the pressure take-off pipes to a torque of 20 to 30 Nm.



Tighten the pressure take-off pipes to a torque of 20 to 30 Nm.


Check for leaks in the exhaust system.

Check the correct operation of the pressure sensors (measuring parameters using a diagnostic device).
