Disconnecting the gearbox from the XU series engine (Peugeot 305)

32. Remove the starter, which is secured with 3 Allen head bolts, and its support bracket (see photos).





33. Remove the remaining bolts securing the engine to the gearbox.

34. Support the engine and disconnect the gearbox from it. Make sure that the box does not rest with all its weight on its drive shaft. Remove the mounting pins so that they will not fall out when the box is disconnected.
