Removal and installation fuel injectors on the DW8 engine (Peugeot 206)

When removing and installing fuel injectors at Peugeot service centers, they use the 0149 injector bushing.

Remove the fuel injectors in the following order:
  • disconnect the negative battery cable;

  • remove protective cover 3 (figure 4.91);
  • remove air cleaner unit 2 with pipes;
  • remove air distributor 1 on the intake;
  • remove the exhaust gas recirculation valve tube;
  • remove fuel lines;
  • remove the fuel return pipes;

  • remove the injector housings 1 (figure 4.92) using a bushing (figure 4.93);
  • remove sealing washers 2 (see figure 4.92).

Install the fuel injectors in the following order:

Note: Replace sealing washers 2 regularly.

  • install sealing washers 2;
  • install injectors 1, tightening to 90 Nm;
  • install the fuel lines, tightening the fasteners on the high-pressure fuel pump to 25 N·m and on the injectors to 25 N·m;
  • install the EGR valve tube and tighten it to the exhaust manifold to 15 N·m;
  • install the upper air distribution unit 1 (see figure 4.91);
  • install the upper air distribution unit mount to the lower one, tightening to 8 Nm;
  • install the upper air distribution unit mount to the cylinder head, tightening to a torque of 17.5 N·m;

Proceed with installation in the reverse order of removal.
